The PAE team met today with Dr. Gabriel Braga, Head of the Commercial Sector at the Embassy of Brazil in Mozambique.
Brazil has vast experience in the production and use of biofuels, especially in the case of ethanol derived from sugarcane. This experience can serve as a lesson for Mozambique, particularly in the cultivation of energy crops such as sugar cane and cassava.
In the context of measure 10 of the PAE – the introduction of the obligation to mix imported fuels with Biofuels, Mozambique will diversify its energy matrix, reduce its dependence on fossil fuels and promote sustainable development.
Collaboration with Brazil can bring mutual benefits, such as the exchange of knowledge, technology transfer and the establishment of partnerships to boost the production and use of biofuels in Mozambique.
