The PAE team met today with MIREME, with members of the IFC and the GreenLight consultancy to evaluate the preliminary results of the biofuels feasibility study in Mozambique.
The study, which should be discussed with a member of the private sector in the coming days, includes projections of regional production and market demand, still considering food security parameters from a previous study also sponsored by the IFC.
The development of measure 10 of the PAE which provides for the introduction of the mandatory mixing of imported fuels with nationally produced biofuels. In July, the PAE had already organized workshops where aspects of analyzing crops, soils and potential production areas for promoting crops used in the production of biofuels in the country were addressed.
