The PAE team participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, the company PIVOT and the U.S Grains Council.
The signing of this memorandum reflects the recognition by the actors involved in the importance of the benefits of using liquid biofuels such as bioethanol to diversify the energy matrix and decarbonize the transport sector in Mozambique for the transition to clean fuels that have improved the country’s air quality. and advance Mozambique’s commitment to international actions linked to climate change, such as reducing gas emissions.
This action marks progress in measure 10 of the PAE. During the event, PAE and INNOQ made some comments on a panel talking about the regulatory steps to disseminate bioethanol production standards and the initiatives coordinated by PAE to implement the measure.
The event was attended by Sexa, the US Ambassador to Mozambique, Mr Peter Hendrick Vrooman and the Development Director for the Global Ethanol Market, Mrs Mackenzie Boubin.
