The PAE team, in coordination with the Mais Oportunidades Project (Improving Access to Financing and Economic Opportunities in Mozambique), holds an engagement workshop for Component 2 of the project.
Representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs (MJACR), Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources (MOPHRH), Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MICULTUR) and Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
This workshop aimed to present the project to the beneficiaries, framing the Economic Acceleration Package in the project components and explaining the operational flowchart of subcomponent 2. The Mais Oportunidades Project Coordination Unit also presented the project procedures with a focus on planning and monitoring and evaluation.
The UCP spoke to those present about the need to integrate the details of the budget for each PAE activity into PAAO 2024 as well as the definition of priorities and schedule of activities and disbursements. Procurement, finance and safeguards (social and environmental) specialists explained their roles and work methodology.
The PAE team thanked everyone for the induction workshop and reiterated to everyone present that the success of the activities depends on good coordination and communication between the beneficiaries within the scope of the project.
