As part of the activities to implement measures 7 and 12 of the Economic Acceleration Measures Package (PAE), Business Finance Solutions (BFS) of Botswana, together with its development partners, signed on Tuesday, 30 April, a memorandum with the Office of Economic Reform Coordination (GCRE) and FFH for the development of large-scale housing.
This approach has already been successfully implemented in Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. In this model, FFH provides the land, while BFS develops the technical and financial engineering of the project. The pilot project is expected to be launched in Catembe, with GCRE simplifying the entire process for its implementation through a Special Purpose Entity (SPE).
This large-scale housing project, resulting from the partnership between Botswana and its development partners, represents an important step in the implementation of measures 7 and 12 of the PAE, aiming to expand access to quality housing in the region.
