The 3rd Edition was attended by Sexa the Minister of Industry and Commerce Silvino Moreno, Sexa the Secretary of State Stella Zeca and representatives of the Government of the Province of Sofala and the Municipal Council.
The event was also attended by various sectors involved in agribusiness, industry, and logistics, as well as customs, tax authority, LAM, and MEREC, among others.
The event had 5 panels to highlight:
- Reflection on the business environment in the sectors of Agribusiness, industry, and logistics;
- Business and Investment Opportunities;
- Agribusiness Value Chain;
- Access to Investment Financing; and
- Certification of Mozambican Companies.
The Secretary of State in her speech informed that the PAE encompasses 20 measures that seek to respond to the existing challenges in the business environment. And the issue of logistics is addressed in measure 11.
And as it turns out, all speakers were unanimous in agreeing that policies to improve the agribusiness, industry, and logistics sectors must be integrated and communicate with each other, and the PAE has played the role of coordinating different sectors with a view to accelerating the economy in its various sectors.
The PAE Team participates as a speaker at the 3rd Edition of the Forum on Agribusiness, Industry, and Logistics in Mozambique in the city of Beira. The Deputy Coordinator of the Economic Reforms Office that implements the PAE presented the status of the 20 measures.
The 3rd Edition is an event that fits within the context of improving the business environment. It aims to seek solutions to reduce constraints in promoting investments in Mozambique and seek to create partnerships to promote agribusiness, logistics, and the value chain, create jobs, and access foreign import markets. Also, seek to carry out roadshows and participation in trade fairs to publicize agribusiness opportunities in Mozambique.
