Last week a closed meeting took place with a large number of Mozambican diplomats in Maputo to present details about the government’s Economic Acceleration Measures Package – PAE announced last August.
The presentation highlighted the impacts of selected measures meant to directly impact issues handled by the diplomatic corps with particular attention to the attraction of foreign investment. Among the measure discussed the electronic visa system was widely discuss and seem as eminent.
According to a presentation the conditions have been created with a view to facilitate tourism, business and investments visas for foreigners looking to visit Mozambique with the entry into force within the next several weeks of the eVisa.
The platform will allow foreigners to receive a visa pre-approval by making their application via a website and submit all its documents, with the final visa being issued at the port of entry.
The developments are part of Mozambique’s Economic Stimulus Acceleration Package (PAE), a set of reforms announced by the Government aiming to place the private sector at the center of economic transformation and development in order to create better conditions to attract investments and create jobs.
