Last Tuesday (May 30), the Council of Ministers approved the decree referring to measure 8 of the PAE, which aims to extend benefits to districts and provinces where mining and oil exploration activities take place.
The Provinces now receive a tax of 7.25% on production, with a view to promoting regional development and financing local projects.
This measure complements the 2.75% benefit already granted to local communities, totaling a 10% benefit. This decision represents an important step towards inclusive economic growth and development, stimulating local economies and empowering communities.
